OOC Introduction

Castrum Vesperum is the first garlean-themed large housing hub in Crystal.It has been designed to provide as many IC areas as possible for players wanting to play their garlean characters in Ilsabard.Every rooms within the Castrum, and all the FC rooms labeled RP are IC space you can use for your RPs, public and private alike. You do not need to ask our permission, but we expect you to follow our code of conduct strictly.We wish to facilitate connections between the different garlean communities. We are happy to extend a cross-world linkshell and a discord invitation on request.

Code of conduct

While using the Castrum, you have to agree with the following rules:- WE ARE NOT AN OPEN-RP PLACE: We provide a shared space for the garlean communities, but we ask players to always ask if they are allowed to join on-going RP. Do not barge in other people's scenes without asking permission. It is rude, and players may not use the Castrum as you do. It is fine to use the Castrum for your private RPs, as long as you do not disrupt others' scenes/events.- REMEMBER PARTY CHATS EXIST: In order to avoid chat scroll hell, or to avoid disrupting scenes hosted in the area you are using, or because you simply wish to keep your storylines private with your friends, we kindly encourage you to emote in party chat accordingly.- CONTACT US BEFORE HOSTING EVENTS: If you wish to host an event in the Castrum, we wish to be noticed in advance so we may ensure your event shall not clash with another. We also have the right to refuse your event should it be deemed offensive or unrelated to Garlemald.- PUBLIC ERP is NOT tolerated anywhere inside or outside the Castrum. NOT EVEN IN PARTY CHAT. Do what you want, but not in our home.- Always check OOC if the players you’re RPing with have any triggers or limits before emoting things such as graphic language, violence, abuse, sexual hints, gore, IC discrimination, etc... If you are unsure, emote in party chat. Because imperial RP can be very extreme, it's better to be safe than sorry, and ensure your RP partners are comfortable with the themes you are exploring IC.- Any character without logical ties to Garlemald should not be welcomed inside the Castrum and should not be extended any invitation to the place. We wish to keep a minimum of coherency. This is a garlean castrum after all.- Use imperial glamours inside the castrum. In order to keep an IC atmosphere and a coherent setting, MSQ uniforms or, if not accessible due to your character level, appropriate imperial glamours should always be used in the Castrum.- Be mindful and respectful of others. Even if you disagree with something, always be polite. Keep in mind that we are all from different countries and cultures, and communication is key to keep a good relaxed atmosphere within a shared space. Constructive feedback is encouraged, but insulting attitude is not acceptable.- OOC harassment, repeated bullying, sexist, racist, sexual, and by extension any discriminating behaviours inside and outside the Castrum are not tolerated. We aim to provide a safe place for everyone, inclusive of all LGBT+ communities, players struggling with mental health and players with disabilities.- Remind yourself that you are a guest in our house and not the owner of the place. We will not accomodate your wishes. We have every rights to change the design of our house and rooms. We have every rights to remind you of the rules of the place. And we are entitled to ask you to leave if you are blatantly ignoring them.Any violation of this code shall result in a warning first and/or a ban from both the community and the house. Moreover, we shall ensure that OOC abusive behaviours are reported to the general RPC communities and, if necessary, reported to SE GMs.In case we deem that unacceptable behaviours have occured and are threatening the safety of our RP communities, we shall lock the Castrum's access until the situation is fully resolved and keep a public log of the banned players so our members can avoid them/protect each other's.

Castrum Vesperum:
An introduction

The following introduction stands as an RP help for those who needs one and is not fully enforced. You may still use the space even if you wish to RP in a different location, as long as it is tied to Garlemald.

Castrum Vesperum is located west of Ilsabard. Its name, meaning “west”, also conveys the image of late evening. Fitting, for the lands shrouded in perpetual darkness around the path that leads to Aldenard.Castrum Vesperum's own motto is Arte at marte ~ (by skill and valor).Closed to the Ghimlyt Dark frontlines, the eminent threat of the war against the Alliance and the daunting aetherical conditions portray a deep grim atmosphere for the castrum's residents.The Castrum's Praefectus is a pureblood garlean named Lysander sas Gladio, a 52 years old veteran & Honorary Censor. He has rarely been seen without a full armor on, his face covered by a helmet. Busy handling all the ramifications and consequences of the current political and warfare situation, he only shows up to handle urgent matters. His loyalty has always leaned towards the Optimates, and discipline is the key word of what he enforced within the Castrum.
